June Roundup - Recording
A busy start to June with 'Deformation of Man' coming in to record 10 tracks for their new album, which will be released later this year. I've been working with quite a lot of indie rock bands recently so it was good fun going back to my roots and getting stuck into this. It was good fun to work with these guys and I can't wait for you all to hear the results 🤘
Next up were 'Still Common' who recorded their debut EP 'Otherwise' with us. These young lads are a new indie band from Sheffield, it was their first time in a recording studio and whilst very raw the 3 songs have some really nice elements to them. You can give them a listen on Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/album/0QInS6kXi4HfhGUbEuKm45?si=0xnwnqQ1Rp6tmtWSLVrh6Q
I honestly believe these lads have great potential so I'm looking forward to working with them again in the future. https://www.facebook.com/StillCommonBand/
Something a little different but we did a bit of recording for 'BBC Radio 2' over the weekend. The whole process was overseen by a producer over Skype, and we had a couple of scripts to voice over which will be aired over the next few weeks. It was fairly simple stuff but it's great to have been asked to do it and hopefully it'll become a regular slot.
Last but not least the boys 'Paisley Sundae' were down to record the remaining 3 tracks for the new EP. The lead single off the EP 'No Room To Dance' has already been added to the 'Hot New Bands' playlist on Spotify. This band are like nothing you've heard before, think Arctic Monkeys mixed with Prodigy. This EP will blow your minds!
