Following on from January's blog post, the first thing we had to do in February was edit the 'Rogue Siesta' live session of 'Rich Man'. We were on a tight schedule with it but are really pleased with the outcome, have a watch below!
It was then straight into the studio with 'Boogaloo Grey Cooper' who is now recording an album with us. Grey is a blues guitarist who initially wanted a few guitar parts recording, after really enjoying the session we are now producing the album over a couple of months along with video extras so we'll keep you updated on this. This is a new project that we can't wait to get started on.
Our video team were also straight back out filming, this time a full music video with 'The Pretty Ugly' The song 'Lemon & Lime' was also recorded here and can be streamed here - https://open.spotify.com/track/6KX6vuibgh4jey7SJphJ8W
For the video we used the excellent 'Gage Gallery' which is a large industrial style building with white walls and plenty of cool extra rooms we could film in. The music video for 'Lemon & Lime' is coming very soon...
Back in the studio we recorded a new single for 'Landmark'. 'Not Today' is a catchy indie rock song with a singalong chorus. It's the lads first time in a studio and they really enjoyed the experience, I think this band can only get with time and can't wait to work with them again.
February also gave us the chance to work with 'Cafe Aspen' again, this time going out on location for band promo shoots. We chose to make use of the weather and shoot around Kelham Island as well as 'Church - Temple of Fun'. Cafe Aspen play a sold out Cafe Totem this Saturday alongside 'Bad Luv' & 'Cascavel'. We'll see you down the front!
We finished February the same way as we finished January, with a live session. This one was with alt-rock lads 'Intervene', Fresh from playing The Leadmill main stage Intervene filmed 2 songs with us, both fast paced & in-your-face indie rock songs. We have made a start on the mixes for these and they should be released early March, in the meantime - here's some stills from the session.
