The end of February/beginning of March we had 8 days straight of recording which was tiring but very enjoyable, working with different artists of different genres.
We have been continuing work on the 'Boogaloo Grey Cooper' album which is sounding great, it's got a really chilled bluesy vibe to it and should do really well once released. We'll also be filming a couple of videos for the lead singles so keep an eye out for these!
Next we had 'Paul Keogh' down to record new single 'Life is a Game', the track is reminiscent of 'The Verve' with a string section over a Britpop sound. We've worked with Paul numerous times before with his band 'Modern Champions' but this is for a solo project with an album release due this year.
Another band we've worked with is 'The Estate' who recorded a new single 'Read Between The Lines'. They've got a new singer since we last worked with them and are hoping to get out gigging soon. The song is a chilled out indie track, again with a bit of a 90's Britpop vibe.
After a short break and a catch up on mixes it was back in the studio recording, this time with 'Django Jones and the Mystery Men', a Blues, Funk Rock band who laid down 3 demos with a big hard hitting sound. https://spoti.fi/2uME0i5
This was quickly followed by another visit from indie rock lads 'The Sundowns' who recorded 3 songs, the lead track being 'Circles' which I can't wait to be released. This song is so catchy and is definitely a step up from the previous single 'Hold On'. They also have a massive headline gig at The Plug on 3rd May with support from our good friends 'The Pretty Ugly' so get on that - https://www.facebook.com/events/375348456344565/
Lastly we've had 'The Addiction' in over the weekend to record 2 good old fashioned Rock n Roll songs. Previously known as 'The Lost Days', they've recently relaunched, already announcing a UK Tour with 'Marco Mendoza' of 'The Dead Daisies'. I've been mixing the tracks this week and they're sounding huge. We were also on photography duty for the whole studio session so give the band a like on Facebook for these being released too.
The first of our live session videos with 'Intervene' - 'Oyster' was also released and we also filmed a new session with cover band 'Barry Krisp & the Bangers'. The first of these, a cover of 'Gnarls Barkley - Crazy' was also released. You can view all 3 videos below.
